On December 2, 2022, an Induction Ceremony was held at Baldwin Wallace University where Matthew Oros is enrolled as a Computer Science Major with a minor in Physics.  Each year students inducted into the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society represent the top 100 students by grade point average who have earned a minimum of 70 semester hours with minimum of 45 semester hours at BWU.

The Dayton C. Miller Honor Society was founded at Baldwin Wallace University in the fall of 1948 and continues to recognize academic excellence.  The Society honors the memory of Dayton C. Miller (Class of 1886), one of the most distinguished graduates of the University .
Matthew is active in many FCSU and Branch 24’s activities.  He won first place in the talent contest, third place in the 2021 Kentucky Derby hat contest, and second place in the 2020 Christmas tree decorating contest.  He also showcased his talent with a piano performance for delegates and guests at the last convention.

He is grateful to have received a FCSU college scholarship in 2020 and last year was one of five students selected by the FCSU Scholarship Committee to receive the “Stephen C. Matula Scholarship”. He is very appreciative to the First Catholic Slovak Union for its financial assistance in furthering his education.  Upon graduation Matthew would like to pursue a career in the field of computer programming.
