Start Your Branch Facebook Page and Connect with Your Members

This past year, we have been focusing on changing our current media outlets and creating new ones. As more interest has grown within the Branches for communication and sharing through social media, we encourage Branches to create their Facebook page to connect with their Members.

Below are some tips and guidelines for a Facebook page Branch Officers can utilize. We encourage Branches who would like to maintain a social media presence to follow the guidelines below in order to be consistent within our Society and to make it easier for Members or potential Members to locate their Branch.

Here are brief instructions on how to name your Facebook page to insure consistency within our brand:
    1. Start with FCSU Financial (do not put dots between FCSU, example: F.C.S.U)
    2. Include Br next to financial (for Branch)
    3. Next include the Branch number
    4. Lastly, add the city the Branch is located in
EXAMPLE: FCSU Financial Br 000, Cleveland

Below are some instructions on how to set up a Facebook public page if you are unfamiliar with how to do so:
    1. You must have your own personal Facebook account to create a page
    2. Login in to your personal Facebook account
    3. Go to tinyurl.com/createbranchpage
    4. Enter a page name and category (Example: FCSU Financial Br 000, Cleveland, Category- Financial)
    5. Edit your page by adding the FCSU logo as the profile picture, adding a bio, cover photo and www.fcsu.com as the website
    6. Click done and let the word out you are now on Facebook
    7. Allow access to 1 more Officer to be an admin for the page (go to page access, click add new under “People with Facebook access”, then search for the name of the person you want to give access to and click their account) (NOTE: The Admin MUST have a personal account to add them)
    8. Share your posts on your personal profile

If you are a Branch Officer interested in creating a Facebook page or have already created a page, please reach out to me kcollins@fcsu.com to receive our logo for your page and to let us know you are active so we can share the news!
