Recap of Key Weeks
Throughout our Society, 105 members entered the 2020 contest.
Here’s a quick rundown of the most crucial weeks in this year’s contest:
- Week 1: just like in 2019, this proved to be a difficult week for many members; 33 players were eliminated after the first week.
- Week 6: we were down to 10 members still left in the contest.
- Week 12: we were down to the final 3 players.
- Week 17: we were down to the final 2 players.
- Week 20: both players were eliminated when they both chose Tampa Bay Bucs to loose.
Congratulations to Finalists
Congratulations to Region 2 for sweeping the top 3 places, with:
- Anna Mae Nasta and Karen Sterling – tied for 1st place
- Robert Buckley – in 3rd Place
Both Anna Mae and Karen will have their name placed on The FCSU Traveling Cup.
Special Sterling Shout-out
It should be noted that Karen’s husband Hank won the Loser’s Pool in 2019. Looks like this family knows their football! This means the Sterlings will be the first in the short history of the FCSU Cup to keep it “in the family” by winning twice.
Appreciation for All Players
Last but not least, my sincere thanks to all the FCSU Members who played our 2020 Losers Pool. Although, unfortunately, none survived to the final round, I hope you had fun playing. Here’s to next year!
