All members of District 10 in Branches 1, 24, 228, 450, 553 and 855 are invited to join us for our final meeting of the year on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The meeting will take place at 3pm at the Slovak J Club, 485 Morgan Ave., Akron. We will hold our Election of Officers for 2027. The meeting will be hosted by Branch 553. FRATERNALISM IN ACTION: We are collecting children’s books for Bright Star Books. We are asking all members and guests to bring new or like new books for ages infant to middle school. Bright Star Books distributes them to limited-resource children in the Greater Akron region so these kiddos can discover the joy of reading.
Folks, we have a lot going on in our area! Look in this issue of the Jednota for details of the 45th Anniversary of the Lúčina Slovak Folklore Ensemble taking place November 7. Have you ever experienced a Slovak Vilija (traditional Christmas Dinner)? You can see what it’s all about in Cleveland on December 6 at St. Andrew Abbey and on December 13 at the Slovak J Club. Please join your fellow members at these unique events.
