Attention all Young Members & Families with Young Members:
We are looking into creating another fun fraternal activity at the FCSU – aimed at our youth, ages 5 – 17. It involves starting an FCSU Pen Pal Program between our young Jednotars and interested kids in Slovakia. This could be a great way to establish lifelong friendships, increase language skills, and share insights about each country’s unique traditions.
Initially, we would seek to set up regular communication between pen pals via email or regular mail – perhaps as early as Christmas 2021. But the program, if successful, could expand to some kind of Secret Santa exchange in the future. Such an endeavor involving gifts would have to be carefully managed, but may be a worthwhile addition to a vibrant pen pal program.
If you or your child might be interested in participating in an FCSU Pen Pal program, please email me at kevinfcsu@outlook.com by: September 5th, 2021. Please put in the Subject Line: FCSU Pen Pal Program. In the body of the email, please indicate the age, gender, and branch affiliation of the young member interested in being a pen pal. Also include your name (if different than the pen pal) and the best way to contact you with more information, whether that is email, phone, or text.
